Employment Opportunities

Position overview: Functions as a member of the surgical team to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical, therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Collaborates with the team to ensure the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Certified Surgical Technologist is proficient in the role of first or second scrub person or assistant circulator.

Licenses or Certificates: Must possess certification in surgical technology through a nationally certifying body (NBSTSA or NCCT). Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support Course.

Total education, vocational training and experience: Graduation from a nationally accredited surgical technology program. At least one year of operating room experience preferred.

Job types: Full-time, part-time

Pay: $20.00 – $26.00 per hour

Position overview: Assessment and care of the surgical patient during the operative phase.

Licenses or Certificates: Current Iowa nursing licensure. Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support Course. Current ACLS and PALS certifications.

Total education, vocational training and experience: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Ambulatory surgery experience preferred.

Pay: $22.00 – $32.00 per hour
